And Katrina in New Orleans. <br /><br />We moved to north central of the state and later on were told by a cousin that this was the best place to go through a hurricane... because it was so far inland that we wouldn't experience wind damage like folks who live closer to the coasts. She never said anything about tornadoes. We've had a couple of those since moving away from the tropics. <br /><br />Good luck with hurricane shutter insurance prices.
