What'll you have?

Big E and I did some extreme shopping at BJ's. Despite all the "good" food, chicken, fish, etc., that we brought home, I had two hot-dogs-in-buns which were slathered with baked beans/onions alongside some Brussels Sprouts tonight.

I enjoyed my eccentric dinner.

Besides saving money purchasing items in bulk, BJ's wholesale club is a fun place to shop. Once a month, I like to purchase a warm pretzel with cream cheese filling from the front snack bar. A young lad named Johnny used to clip my receipt at the front door as I would exit the building. I believe he may have been promoted. I miss being called by my name as I walked in the front door. As you left the building, did you ever meet Johnny when you would have your receipt stamped? He has such an upbeat personality and would acknowledge everyone with a hello or goodbye.

That is so strange. I had a cream cheese filled pretzel yesterday. It was my first one in months. I figure we use up extra pretzel-carbs by walking all over that huge store.

The lady who punched our receipt was not someone we have seen before. The new person doesn't know us by name. Yet.

Turkey hot dogs or Beef? Diet beans or all-the-way ones? Rally makes an outstanding chili dog, even without cheese... you can ask for extra onions on top and you feels like a human person when you partakes!

Just don't kiss the parrot - she shakes her head like crazy!

Once in a while M. and I will eat at Arbetters Hot Dogs on Bird Road near SunBank aka SunTrust or SunBust due to their down sizing of employees. Arbetters has buckets of melted cheese for hotdogs or french fries. We like to pretend the calories do not count for this particular meal. C/O means chili and onion. C/C means chili and cheese.

Okay, I feel able to confess that I had Ball Park beef HD's, in buns, with Bush's Original Style baked beans, onion, and ketchup on top. J was wishing for sauerkraut to top his dogs.

The beans were not all gussied up with ketchup, mustard, tabasco, worcestershire sauce, onions, Splenda brown sugar, and bacon, the way we usually have them. When we do that, we cut the hot dogs into slices and cook them in the casserole with the hot beans for the last few minutes....

Yum, I'm getting hungry! Does anyone recall the Lum's hotdogs? It's an out of business place, now but their dogs were steamed in beer and topped with a delicious 'kraut. And their Lum-burgers were well seasoned and well packed and quite tasty in their own right. I kind of mourned when the company went under....

Oh, yes, Lums did have great chili HD's and M. and I remember them very well. You were given large clear cups with red letters to drink your soda from. Large padded booths with a light above each table, and sometimes a glowing candle.

My belly wishes it could handle tabasco, worcestershire sauce, and onions all at the same time. Sounds yummy.
