Toughing it . . . out

Like a hermit, I really don't want to go outside. Not even stick my nose out the door, considering the wind chill. But, I need to make a routine visit to the pharmacy.

We will just see how tough I can be.

It may amount to a chorus of: not very. I can hear it now.

I like this cold weather. It means I can wear clothes that I never get to wear the rest of the year.

Enough whining about Thursday - Friday is colder!

Friday was cold. I solved one pharmacy problem with modern technology. I pulled through the drive thru and dropped off my 'scrip. She said it'd be about an hour. I drove around the store, parked and walked inside. Shopped for some few necessary items, like a book and some candy for the office. Went and sat down at the inside pharm. area. Pulled out my cell phone as it buzzed. Up popped the message that my 'scrip was ready. I got to the counter before she called my name. I love it when a plan comes together!

Imagine, waking up at 5 am because you feel asleep before 9pm. The alarm was set for 6 am. Getting dressed for work required 1-suit , 1 sweater, 1 pair of leather gloves, 1 pair of sneakers, not the flip flops, how sad. Continued 1-long scarf, 1-pair of socks, and 1-leather jacket. Temperature outside before sunrise 44 degrees without the wind chill. Now, arriving to the parking garage of your office and walking three flight of stairs because the elevator is on the on the other side. Then walking a block between buildings to the front door. Finally nice and warm. Yes….. I am whining. The next couple of days should be perfect according to my iphone. 
