And the month is?

The only reason I know today is not Saturday is because our local branch of the library is closed on Fridays. I did it again: lost my way amidst all the weekdays we have to negotiate. You would think there were thousands, or at least hundreds, of them. Yesterday was the 15th, I know for sure, so today must be ...

There are compensations for making one's way through the week by counting down the work days toward a weekend. I used to never mistake a Friday for a Saturday. Now? I couldn't care less.

Unless the library is closed ...

One of the ways I know T. is retired is because he is always asking what day it is. I generally know. I'm looking forward to that time in life when I don't haf'ta rise and shine and drive to work and keep track of this stuff. I guess with 2 of us not working, we'll need a way bigger calendar - or just put the screen saver to show the time....

We have a way bigger calendar. It hangs by the monitor. Didn't help.

It will be terrible when you update things like your checkbook after retirement. Retirement seems to me like being rich. However, you can be young and rich, doesn't work the same way with retirees.
