GE Profile Haiku . . .

Nuking a bowlful
Microwave stopped and smelled burned
Convenience has died . . .

We have a five year guarantee on the magnetron. What do you want to bet that the repairman will diagnose an unrelated problem. He comes on Monday, between 8 am and 5 pm. That's as narrow a window of arrival as GE could come up with. He will call before he comes however. It's a pretty appliance - when it works.

Our old analog Sharp lasted a lot longer than two years before requiring a diagnosis.

Appliance medical warranty has changed so much of the past years. They just don't appliances like they used to. Hopefully, he won't be a Magtag repair man because he was available. Sometimes the Comcast repairman will call from around the corner. Yeah, like we can't see the van with the ladder and logo.

I suppose we should be grateful that he (or she, lets not be un-PC) is coming as soon as Monday.

I had to saute my pizza. How all the world comes to a halt when the appliance dies.

Ops, I forgot the word make, as in make appliances like they used to. My bad, I was on my way out the door to dinner.

Biged, its called an oven. I think you have one next to the fridge.

I have to admit it was my idea not to use the oven. I had read about reheating pizza in a stick-free skillet to keep the bottom crisp. It really does work!

My pizza would really hang over the sides of the only stick-free skillet I can find. I mean, there'd be cheese all over the burner. Unless I could cut it smaller with the kitchen shears... but then you'd have to decide whether to eat the outer crust or put it on the trash..er, dog bowl. Maybe I'd just stick to beanie weenies until the repairman came. All fits in the pan...

Our one slice wasn't from a huge, delivery pizza. Believe it or not, it was DiGiorno . . .

Hum, maybe order takeout. Kitchen still clean. Yea, yea.

Can't order out. Pizza is so expensive these days.
