Shamrock substitute ...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is as close as we can come to a shamrock in our immediate area. It is green, at least for now, and also low enough to pick. Of course the 'nuts are supposed to fall when ready to eat, it's always somethin' ...

I never remember to wear green on this day. I just wear whatever; however, I never get pinched. I'm too big and scary to pinch. MUHAHAHA

I love the SoFla Shamrock. I wore my green heavy coat and a cheapie green shamrock necklace over a black blouse and slacks. But the shamrock/coconut tree is so much more festive!

We set a record high yesterday: 91° on our front steps; 92° according to the TV weather person. It was too hot to go looking for shamrocks, anyway. Yesterday afternoon, I opened the door, shut it quickly, and told J that it smelled hot outside.

Today is better, 81° at just after 5 p.m.

Wow, the coconut tree is doing very well. The green colors are beautiful. Yes, it was hot yesterday; however, today made up for the difference. Biged, will be pinched on sighting as soon as I find where he is hiding. A confession of not wearing green is also awarded with a pinch, or two. I am tall, as well. Oh, I better pay attention in class. Gota go. :)

(In a cloaked phase - "These coconuts are gonna taste great. Soon they'll be ripe for eating." Out of cloak phase.) In Hiding.
