Reflections on a dry kitty.

Reasonable weather returns! Details at eleven.

Nice, going-outside-weather. Dry though. I have taken to dipping myself in lotion before going to sleep. I may soon have to spot-treat upon waking. Even Mew has dry skin because we ran out of the oil that we beat into her water. The vet told me he had never heard of doing that but if it works, to keep it up. Between the watery lubrication and daily brushing, she doesn't get hairballs, either.

She rid us of mice we didn't know we had. She has never had an "accident" in the house in her life. She folds her paws and relaxes while we rinse her teeth. She loves to be around us but is has to be on her terms.

I just wish she would climb confidently into our laps . . .

Thanks for the shout out. OH and as for cats the only thing I know about them is it's dangerous to try and juggle them. I'm just sayin. ;)

She is in very good hands. She knows this, and plans not to pack and lol luggage at all.

Maybe someday....meanwhile, I'm curious as to what kind of oil you mix with her water, since I'm not a big fan of hairballs and find them around the house at odd times.

Is it the bath water or her drinking water? In other words, does it eliminate hairballs from the outside or the inside of the "kitteh"?

Can you send her up to us? We've had a visitor or 2 and caught both in a glue trap type device. They tend to lie there and shriek pitifully - which can be disturbing, until you locate the source and remove it. A cat would take care of matters much more efficiently.

I believe it is regular Wesson oil. We put a spoon full in her bowl and stir it up. She doesn't seem to dislike it.
