Brother R says it's raining sideways in Tallahassee. I believe every word of it. While Fay was with us, before she went meandering, our side door sounded like someone was throwing buckets of pebbles at it. It was sideways rain, seeking entry. Fay has managed to *launder* every family member in our state. How impartial.
Today the grass that grew like bamboo, with all that rain, is being mowed. Well, the front is. The back was sheared yesterday. It is almost too hot to do the whole thing in one day. Big Ed just requested three bottles of water after finishing up.
Hot and dehydrating, oh yes. I offered to turn the water hose on him. He just laughed at me . . .

Hum, the hose? Well, Biged, you betta drink quickly.
I usually mow at evening time, however, the Dolphin game started at 7:30; Hence, I had to mow during the sunlight hours. I made it with a little bit of Advil and everything is alright.
The Dolphins won too. I fell asleep during the game. Ops.
Hope Uncle R. and family are doing much better. I sent the wedding gift to Ron and Betsy today which should arrive to them next week. An order was placed of two items at Bed Bath and Beyond. Did Uncle R. e-mail any wedding pictures?
I haven't seen any wedding shots. Got to hope Tammie got some. Our rain guage had 5 inches - up to the top and no telling how much overflowed. Fay was a very wet lady. It even managed to hop the state line and hit Suse & Mikey!
Wow, 5 inches or more! Zig-zag Fay.
I wonder who dreaded Fay's coming more, North or South end of the state? Guess it was a tie.
No, I haven't seen any pictures, either. Hoping and waiting, game on.
Oh oh, there is another storm named Gustav. Heading to, lets change the subject. Nice and sunny today.
Hang on a sec, got to dump the rain guages. Again!
o1 doc, it seems as though you and the weather channel both need deeper rain measurers. Your Noah's Ark is cuter, though. Doesn't that count?
If I put ANOTHER rain guage on the ark, beside the original one - could I add the two measurements and get the total rainfall for the period? :)
Is this the new math? The hypotenuse of one Noah's Ark, squared, equals the sums of the squares of the other two Arks . . .
