If only ...

I'm never satisfied with the weather unless it is in my exact comfort zone: cool; sunshiny (or light overcast); dry, but not too dry; if I have to be out in it. Soft rain with light winds if I can stay inside and read.

Being such a p'ticular creature, It's a good thing I'm not in charge of the weather. We would never get a soaking toad-strangler if I were choosing. The roads would always be dry if I had to drive somewhere. It would stop raining instantly if I had to load the car with groceries or bring them in the house.

Maybe I just need a forcefield bubble around my immediate area ...

A Ranger after mine own heart! And further more - white noise to sleep by and Oldie-Goldies on the radio to wash dishes by.

The only oldie goldie melodies Ranger is interested in is classical music. That is only in the car.

Okay - driving works, too.

It's just that listening to 50's music takes me back to the teen-ish years with someone's hands plunged into the suds while Jerry Wichner spins platters and either Ranger or ol Doc dries. Mostly me, I tend to recall.

Yes, I still have trouble growing any lengthy fingernails from all that hand dishwashing.

If you come to see us, we will let you help empty the dishwasher :)
