Visitor ...

We had a visitor tapping at the door. He was not properly introduced and therefore we did not let him in to play with Mew. She was horribly disappointed at the obstinacy of our refusal.

The parents of the visitor were agitated and screaming until we took our potential playmate away and closed the curtain. Subsequently, he must have moved to the side of the yard as the parents moved over there and were flying in and out of the hibiscus bushes.

We wish the little guy better luck with his next playmate ...

You can just see the tension on the part of Mew - and the complete inattention to detail on the part of the bird. If that door were open a crack... just one little inch....different story, eh?

If you click and enlarge the shot, every hair is standing erect. Don't the two ears resemble a targeting gunsight? She was really hurt that we would not let the bird in. It obviously wanted to come.

What was the matter with us?

Glad to see all is well for the baby bird. The little guy looks so trusting as the enemy looks for a sudden break of attack.

More like a break for lunch, huh Zeta ;)

The baby bird is asking for bird seed or wheat bread for his lunch.
