Where coffee . . .

We heard the alarm at six this morning. One of us had an early eye-check appointment, which went well. The only thing not well was getting up at six. If I wake up that early and can't get to snooze again, that's one thing. Having to rise on command is quite another.

Former years of early rising formed a habit that has taken me additional years to break. I consider myself a morning person. It's just getting to be mid-morning on some days.

Mid-morning does not come at six . . .

I'm an evening person. Sometimes I feel sleepy till four o'clock in the afternoon. That happens when I wake up early and do not exorcise or something to wake me up.

I'm an evening person and can't fight it no matter what I do. Its in the DNA. Early-To-Rise without penalty does not happen. Sleepy swollen eyes in the morning. Coffee is a nice perk :). Starbucks that is.

I wonder if it's genetic or something. I found I work and think best from 4PM to Midnight. Sooo, I worked those hours for several years and never had a problem. When I really wanted to do something, I could be pried out from under the covers. Say, to meet Ranger at the beach at 7AM. Or shop Burdines with Mamas at 11AM. Otherwise, you'd find me sawing logs at those ridiculous times!

Sometimes, you can get in real troubles staying up past your bedtime. Fall asleep on the couch while watching TV and get up at 2AM. Arrrgh! Or stay on the computer long enough to open a weblog. Double Arrrrgh!
