Plans for the coconuts. I thought I had some ... I was going to eat them. But, E has better plans for them. He will try to get some new trees to grow. Wow, like teaching me to fish rather than giving me a fish. You just have to wait for your fish to ripen.
One can always learn new skills, no? Coconut-patience is mine. I will wait at least until next year to eat a home-grown coconut. When I was young, we were surrounded by trees, so fresh was what we were used to. None of this dried, supermercado stuff.
This tree grows so slowly that I should still be able to reach any new pendants, next year.
If I can't, E can.

Coconut-patience is a gift which I believe only E..... has. The house behind you used to have two coconut trees planted in the front yard that we used to borrow a snacks from. The coconuts were just resting on the ground waiting for somebody to enjoy them. Jamie, Liz, and I used to sit beside the tool shed and enjoy our feast.
I somehow never acquired a taste for either fresh (or stale?) coconut or the juice of same. I think it must have been getting that brown rind along with the white meat when Dad was opening a nut. I will eat a piece of coconut cake, if the icing is tasty but those little bits of white matter getting caught between my teeth annoy me no end. I still like to see a pretty tree with fronds all a-drape. Especially at a beach.
If Ranger opens up a coconut and eats it, I suppose it is destiny for that particular coconut. I planted the tree but I am willing to share. Coconuts for everyone, freeeee.
Can I be second in line after Ranger?
Ranger will share ...
