A pound of air ...

A mile or two from our house, there is a Mobil service station that will check your tire pressure and also sells the least expensive gas around. A young man wanders by, as you give your car a transfusion, and asks if he can test your tire pressure. If it is down, he shoots in the necessary amount of air. There is no charge except for whatever your heart tells you his services are worth.

Because I always accept the pressure check offer, the tires are wearing evenly. Instead of an address, this place should provide a map where X marks the spot.

Treasure is in the eye of the beholder.

Down the street from the Mobil service station is a Starbucks coffee shop. Air, coffee and gas to start your day off on a good note. S and E do not drink coffee in the morning and I often wonder how they manage to function. My brain does not start working properly until the caffeine hits the blood stream. Without coffee in the morning, I have successfully done the following: open the bank vault and locked it without taking the money out first, fifteen minute wait to re-open, backed into a vehicle in my driveway, wore two different color shoes to work, and called a patient realizing the paperwork in front of me was not theirs.

I have a treasure guy who fills the tires with air... he uses a free-air machine at the S&S stores as we motor down the road toward town. He also covers my car at night so that the dew will not set on the windows and washes the ash off when the wind blows the smoke our way. I pay him back with kisses.

Oh, and he makes that first cup of coffee in the mornings. I, too, cannot function without....

Aaawww, that is so nice. What a great treasure who also makes an awesome pot roast.

That is a treasure, indeed. The coffee maker, in our house, is human, too. Pot roast recipe from the treasure in LC, please?

Just make like a regular roast in the pressure cooker with potatoes, carrots, onion maybe a little garlic and add a pack of brown gravy and a can of tomato sauce or even paste to the water around the meat - which helps tenderize the meat and adds a grand flavor to the finished gravy. NT, MA and all the rest of us who have had this meal usually sop up the gravy like crazy and the meat just falls apart!

Thank you for the info. I have been pressure steaming ours in a vacuum bag, which is okay. But, yours sounds so much better!
