Cinderella in the semi-tropics ...

On this day of rest, E is going to mow. He just announced it. I am thrilled as the grass is doing its best to jungle up.

I admit to laundering some area rugs. It feels like cleaning, even if the washer does the heavy lifting. And I did mop one of the bathroom floors. Which was the cause of doing the rug stuff. Can one put the same rug back on the clean floor? Guess not. The washer gets off balance if just one rug is washed so two others were added for symmetry.

That's what comes of doing
a little cleaning. It's hard to know where to leave off. Although, leaving off is becoming an easier decision ....

Did E manage to mow the yard before the rain started? Yesterday afternoon, the rain began shortly after we arrived home from Publix to pick up lunch supplies.

It is easy for me to realize what day of the week is it for my five-day count down since the weekend is on my mind all the time.

The front and side grass is level and even. The back is jungly, still.

Thunder and lightning were too nearby to continue to neaten up the veldt. After a local man was killed the day before, by a bolt from the blue, we paid attention.

SunPasses are being discounted on Tuesday (not Monday) at our local office. I'll let you know if I go.

We should have E's car back by then and the truck can be returned to its Enterprising business.

Yesterday was such a day of rest that we didn't even turn on a computer and log on to the Internet or check any Weblogs.

Our grass got evened out on Saturday and the aches and pains complaints from the mower guy did continue into Sunday.

Was your mower person on a riding mower? Can the mower person take Advil?

One has to follow our mower afoot but it does agree to go at the pace set by the follower. Course, we don't have half a zillion acres to mow, as 0l doc does.

Nor do we have any pasture animals to be careful around: the 'Possum is on her own, the Cattle Egrets eat any snakes (I saw them fighting over one), the Muscovy Ducks have moved on, and I use Combat in the house for six legged creatures.

Arachnids succumb to a wielded broom. That's as close as I want to get to those.
