Well warned ...

We are used to storm warnings, hurricane warnings, tornado warnings and love-bug sightings. Today, there is a new silent warning crawling across the bottom of our television screens: an urban flood warning. As far as I can discover, it is for drivers who are enroute and find a puddle stretched across the street. Deep puddle? Requires a warning to all who are tucked up safe at home.

Who watches TV
while driving a vehicle? Are we homebodies supposed to contact those who may be outside and warn them? Who shares the guilt if someone stalls out?

Not me, baby! I'm telling everyone I know. You've been warned...

The warning didn't help me. I spent all day in the rain. What will they think of next. Heat warnings of ninety degree wheather.

Warning noted. The bottoms of my feet burn a little from walking in the rain with my wet shoes. Friday, we missed the golf trolley and had to walk in the rain to our office. On Monday, I'll try wearing my sneakers in an attempt to keep my feet try.

Hmmm, there's this patch on the Branford Highway where the water collects and in a heavy rain has been known to take a slice out of the roadside. Not enough to sweep a vehicle downstream but it'll spray a rooster tail onto the grass beside the road. 'zat wha the crawl was warning of?
