Happy Independence Day! We hope everyone has a safe and celebratory Fourth of July ... with barbeque on the side.

Back-at-cha! And, at the end of the day, may your stars be spangled and the 1812 Overture resound in your ears!

At church we had hamburgers, hot dogs and, bbq chicken. People brought in all kinds of side dishes. I brought a key lime pie. It didn't last and I didn't have any of my pie. Alas, we sang patriotic hymns then I went home. Most of us went out for fireworks.

Aside to Big E. - next time, make 2 pies and just take 1 with you. And then, MAIL ME A PIECE!

Was the pie sugar free? Cheesecake is sugar free and we can mail a box to Aunt Doc01. OK, I ate a few of Andes after dinner mint thins. They were so good. Hum. We were able to watch the fireworks from our front yard since we live close enough to Baptist Hospital to view the spectacular show. M. laughed when I said “there goes a big chunk of my bonus.” Just kidding. Everyone enjoyed the show and that is what counts.

J and I watched (from T.C.O.O.O.H. like - zeta and M) the Washington and then the Boston spectacs. Made me wish for Hi-Def.

That pie made an overnight visit and left unscathed. But, it was a close margin for its safety.
